StabiSizer Charge Titration Stability Analyzer
|
|
StabiSizer is a charge titration system for macromolecular solutions and particle dispersions. Model PMX 200C incorporates pH-probe and integrated computer with software for titration of particles in size range of 0.5 nanometer to 300 microns.
Model 200CS adds the power of an integrated Nanotrac Particle Size Analyzer for sizing of particles from 0.8 nanometers to 6.5 microns.
Principle: Depending mainly on particle size, the StabiSizer potential SP as an elektrokinetic potential is a combination of "streaming potential" and "inertial potential". For certain discrete dispersions the SP correlates to the electrophoretic zeta potential.
- Applicable to polyelectrolyte solutions, colloids, suspensions, emulsions; all on aqueous base
- Applicable from 0.5 nm up to 300 µm size (material dependent)
- no sample parameters necessary
- Sample quantity: 10 ml
- concentration range: 0.05 to 30% v/v, sample- and viscosity- dependent
- pH-range 1 to 13
Teflon sample cell cylinder with 4 piston options
- 1000 µm gap - high viscosity
- 400 µm gap - standard viscosity, standard sensitivity
- 200 µm gap - standard viscosity, high sensitivity
- 100 µm gap - low viscosity, highest sensitivity
Software
- Software tailored to do routine Particle Interface Potential (PIP) titrations
- Method programming and saving
- Fixed and dynamic titration (Dosing system reacting on signal change).
- Tandem titrations programmable
- Correlation to Zetapotential possible in defined cases
- Titration settings: Ordinate: Particle Interface Potential. Abszisse: pH, volume, or time.
